A quickly written story describing the events of one of my favorite D&D sessions.

I just got done with one of my D&D sessions with my friends and was definitely a very enjoyable one. Let me start off by giving you a minor background of how we got to where we are...

My group consists of 7 people but only 5 play on a normal basis... tonight it was 4 + the Dungeon Master. Here's the line-up:
Me: Level 6 Elf Scout (Alignment: Chaotic Neutral)
Brian: Level 6 Dwarf Cleric (Alignment: Chaotic Good)
Ryan: Level 6 Human Monk (Alignment: Lawful Good)
Kit: Level 7 Human Fighter (Alignment: Chaotic Good)

The past 2 sessions our group was stuck in this town and were being accused of over 40 separate murders within these 2 sessions, we had to prove our innocents but the church in charge was corrupt and the evil devils committing these acts were in charge behind the scenes. We find ourselves standing on the gallows with nooses around our necks ready to die when Brian, in an act of desperation, casts Circle of Protection from Evil casting away the "priests" and proving our innocence... so out come 40 were rats and we retreat to the temple to get our weapons... the towns people get slaughtered and Brian and Kit fall to the ground after a failed attempt to defeat the Drowned (a corpse that has an aura that causes it's victims to drowned if they fail a Will save.) I run and pick up Brian and run around for 80+ rounds with a were rat and the Drowned on my tail. Ryan stands on top of Kit's body and kills the rats one by one with his fists as 39 swarm him and Kit's unconscious body. He ends up down to 6 rats left and 2 hit points... miraculously one of the non-corrupt priests heals him before falling to his death. He finishes off the rats and leaves the city, as do Brian and I.

We meet up and decide to track the Drowned to kill it once and for all. As I'm tracking it (the only one in the party with the Track feat) I get a telepathic message saying my useless body will be pounced on without warning and mauled without mercy if I continue to follow the tracks. I talk my friends into resting for the night to heal up and regain their spells. As the only one in the group who wasn't injured or required sleep I took up guard duty. As I did I got another telepathic message: "I'm coming for you!" I decide to hide (had a +40 to hide so nobody in my group could find me) and I snuck away while they slept. I got another message: "Why are you leaving your friends?" to which I replied "They are all yours, a battle with you is not in my future visions". I then get the reply "Kill them and you will be greatly rewarded". Keeping in mind I have no connection to them what-so-ever and was "dragged" into this town with no intension of sticking with them I thought for a moment then replied "Send me aid." to which I readied my bow. As I did an invisible creature clawed at Kit and did massive damage to him, as he and Ryan awoke they both see an arrow go flying at Kit and strike him for more damage. With this, Kit's character believes Brian is aiding the evil creature and goes to kill him in his sleep. Brian wakes up to see Kit standing over him and critically hitting him 3 times, luckily Brian is able to stand up and heal himself. He finishes off Kit who's also being slashed from behind by the invisible creature. Ryan charges at me and he tries to wrestle me into a grapple move in which I can't move, attack, or defend. He fails luckily so I keep striking him with my sword. As he starts to fight back I start to flee towards the evil creature I sided with.

Brian stands over Kit's body and shouts "Those who have not allied with this evil creature join me now or suffer his fate!" I run towards Brian and scream for help, as I do Brian looks at me and watches Ryan attack me from behind and try to kill me. Brian rushes to my aid and we kill Ryan quickly, as I'm about to turn on Brian he casts a spell to allow him to see the creature, a Hellcat. He watches as I pet the Hellcat and as I allow the Hellcat to maul the remains of Ryan's body and I ready my sword. Brian grabs his amulet of Kord (His Good Diety that he worshipped) and throws it to the ground and smashes it with his foot, as he does he bows down to the Hellcat and me. He realized I tricked him into aiding me kill his only ally and we both turn Lawful Evil right there on the spot. We meet our new master (the owner of the Hellcat) and he turns us both into Vampire Lords allowing us to build our own Vampire armies. Both Kit and Ryan are now discussing on building Lawful Good Clerics and Paladins to vanquish us but at the same time, Brian and I both rose 2 levels and are now undead and unable to die the conventional way. :)

Now to normal people this isn't that exciting but to me it's freaking sweet!!
